Dr Tumi is fast becoming one of South Africa’s most sought after gospel music singer & songwriter for contemporary gospel. The doctor’s second album, Love & Grace was recorded live at the Barnyard Theater around August this year and has already sold to reach Gold status.  Dr Tumi says he wrote all the songs on this album & wanted to bring honest music that people can relate to.

He is originally from Seshego in Limpopo and is the last born of six children of a pastor and a teacher. He is now blessed with his own family, married to one wife bazalwane which he has kids with. Dr Tumi, who is also a medical doctor, wants his songs to change lives by ministering healing, inspiration, hope, new meaning, revival and experience of God on another dimension.  He has also written songs for a number of gospel artists in South Africa.

He grew up in the church where he played the keyboard and sang as as a young boy. He later went on study at Medunsa where he found others who shared his passion for both music & public health where he continued to groom his music. He is not new to gospel music,  he started recording music in 2007 as part of a gospel group called Intense and he later went solo. His first solo album was called Heart of a King and it won him a Crown Gospel Music Award for Best R&B gospel album. The album is  available in stores & online on itunes.
