Condolences came flooding in to the family of South African gospel artist Israel Mosehla who passed on this year on the 10th January 2020 at 50. The sudden death of Israel shocked a lot of people, social media trended with the hash tag #RipIsraelMosehla with many mourning the death of the local gospel musician.
He was not only a musician but also a pastor, businessman, father to six beautiful children and husband to Millicent Mashile. Mosehla Ministered the word of God as a pastor and lead worship as he believed it was his calling. Mosehla came from Soweto, his mother and father were both preachers and musicians.
After being in a family gospel group G-Effect for a while Israel Mosehla launched Kgabo Music Productions in 2007 and released his own solo album called Endaweni Ephakeme. He later earned several awards for his music including Best Praise Album for his album called Praise and Worship Encounter with Israel Mosehla at the Crown Gospel Music Awards.
He was laid to rest soon after his death on the 14th of January 2020. Due to the strict covid-19 regulations the family also had a live virtual memorial and funeral service viewing on Facebook and youtube for extended family and friends who could not attend.
Many celebrated his life and reminisced of the good times with the man of God.
