The Journey with Winnie Mashaba Released.
Many have dubbed Gospel sensation Winnie Mashaba as the daughter of Zion. The Zion Christian Church (ZCC) is the largest African initiated church operating across Southern Africa.
The values and foundations she learned from the ZCC church is what kept her grounded for over 20 yrs as female gospel artist. This year Winnie Mashaba released a new album and DVD called the The Journey with Winnie Mashaba that has been topping the charts.
The new album is available in music stores around the country already. In the album she pays tribute to alot of people that have been apart of her music journey such as Makgarebe A Bochabela , Oleseng Shuping including her late mother. She has been a recording artist for over 20 years as she started singing as a teen when she worked with the great Solly Moholo and then moved on when the time was right.
For the first time she recorded this album live at Emperors Palace instead of in studio as usual. She performed songs that were requested by her fans dating back to her debut album Exoda 20 and new material such as opening track Nkabe Re Le Kae.
Winnie is originally from Limpopo in Ga-Phaahla a small village in Steelpoort. Miss Mashaba came from a big family of eight siblings. She took the responsibility to help raise her siblings when their parents left them orphaned at a young age. With the help of God they managed to keep strong as a child headed household.
Even though she is still a standing member of the ZCC church, she insist she got the name ‘Daughter of Zion’ by grace. Despite popular belief she has never met with any of the bishops of ZCC personally yet. When she’s performing on stage she represents herself as Winnie Mashaba who is proud of her faith heritage but should not be mistaken as a spokes person for the ZCC she laments. 
Apart from her music Winnie is a business woman and has also added TV presenting to her lists of talents. She presents a gospel show called Uhambo on the DSTV channel called Dumisa TV.
