Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule received an award in honor of her outstanding achievement in music in an exclusive black-tie event to celebrate and recognize African excellence across and in the Globe. The Global African Awards were hosted by the seasoned TV & radio presenter Thami Ngubeni. Other award recipients of the night included Ayanda Ncwane, Thabile Ngwato, Thokozani Nkosi and Linda Makhanya to name a few.

The Global African Awards were held on the 14th of November just after the prerecording of her 14th Crown Gospel Music Awards in Durban on the 12th on November. Global African Awards shared that they are honoring Zanele Mbokazi as a creative genius, serial entrepreneur, author and speaker with 2 decades of experience in the PR, Marketing and Events industry .
Saying “Zanele Mbokazi is a multi-award winning professional and media guru celebrated for extensive work in promoting gospel music to prominence among her achievements. She has worked in radio and television and currently runs her own Zanele TV channel.
Zanele Mbokazi is also the founder of the Crown Gospel Music Award and the visionary behind Mirror PR & Events, World Gospel PowerHouse, a firm that has conceptualized and managed top events such as The First Durban SMME Fair, as well as launching the AU in Durban, among others.”
The Crowns are now the biggest Gospel Awards in the African continent, the platform is instrumental for moral regeneration and social cohesion. Besides the Crowns she is also the founder and executive producer of the Celebrate Africa Carnival (@celebrateafricacarnival ) which brings together more than 17 countries. Her work ethic, attention to detail and ability to train and groom so many industry specialist sets her apart.

I had to work on my mindset in order to open my spirit and be able to receive the honor bestowed on me. Next month I will celebrate 20 years as a professional events designer and producer, PR and marketing expert. Our most popular brand #TheCrownAwards is now in its 15th year, the biggest Gospel Awards in the African continent. BUT for me it is the number and quality of people I have been able to groom and train on the past 20 years in PR, marketing, event management, event technical directing, choreography etc. They are employed all over SA and some are running their own businesses.
