Aspiring comedian Simunye ‘Church boy’ Sikhakhane prides himself in what he calls ‘clean joke’, no filter needed. Many have come to know him through Facebook and WhatsApp video’s where we see some of his hilarious video’s with funny gestures and facial expressions in his skits.

How it all started with Comedy
Simunye ‘Church Boy’ started preaching in his teens since 2009, he is a youth pastor at popular multi denomination church Apostle Faith Mission (AFM) who also has funny bone.
He is developing his career as a Christian comedian. Contrary to popular belief, he grew in the church as a very serious guy not the one we have come to know. His unique style of delivery makes him stand out for sure as comedian. The ‘umvuzo challenge’ video (click to watch) below went viral on social media sparking more interest in his comic gift.
Growing up in northern KwaZulu Natal’s in Empangeni did not limit him. Having studied at UKZN towards a Biological sciences degree, he moved to Johannesburg to do an apprenticeship and began to work as a Technician. He was away from his local church at AFM so he started making videos reminiscing about church while on his lunch breaks at work imitating some pastors.
Simunye’s motto is God is a serious God but not a boring God. You can still laugh even if ungumzalwane.

Simunye Church Boy recently got married and they have one son together with his wife. His wife supported him after fans urged him to take his jokes seriously. He eventually had to leave his job because of work schedule clashes with his comedy gigs.
He now does comedy for a living, he is also a program director and uses his social media pages to grow his reach. He is a new father, husband and is now growing his own business as an entertainer. He has shared platforms with the likes of Simphiwe Shembe, Dr Tumi, Dumi Mkokstad, Thina Zungu, Ntokozo Mbambo, Crown Gospel Awards , ect
