Pastor Mboro and accused Bail Application Postpone for their Multiple Charges

TPastor Mboro and co-accused son and body guard appeared in court today as they are facing serious charges. The charges include kidnapping, possession of an unlicensed firearm, discharging a firearm, assault, and malicious damage to property.

These accusations have led to a complex legal battle as the court navigates the details of the case.

Delays in Bail Application for Pastor Mboro and co-accused

Despite being in custody for a week, the bail application hearing on Friday, August 16, 2024, was significantly delayed due to issues with verifying the addresses and other essential details of the accused.

The court initially discovered that the address of one of the accused, Mboro, had not been verified by the police. Additionally, the authorities could not profile Mboro’s bodyguard, Baloyi, as he had not provided his identity number.

Postponement of the Case On Wednesday, August 14, the accused appeared at separate times at the Palm Ridge Magistrate Court.

Mboro, along with his bodyguard and a relative, were scheduled for a bail hearing on August 16, but the hearing has now been postponed to August 19, 2024. The trio faces 12 charges in total, including kidnapping, possession of an unlicensed firearm, discharging a firearm, assault, and malicious damage to property.

Bail for Two Accused Two other individuals involved in the case were released on bail of R1,000 each. Their release comes with the condition that they must have no direct or indirect contact with the complainants or State witnesses. These two face charges of intimidation and assault, following complaints lodged against them by Motsoeneng.

The case has been postponed to September 10, 2024, for further investigation. The court will continue to examine the evidence and address the unresolved issues that have delayed the proceedings.
