The the 4th Independent National Gospel Music Awards (INGOMA) 2017 took place at the Lyric theathe in GoldReef City,Gauteng in 2017. According to Dan Raseluma who is heading the Awards, the project seeks to recognise excellence of upcomming independent South African gospel artists,empower them and celebrate them. ย Most of the mainstream South African Gospel artist were first recognised as winners at INGOMA such as Thina Zungu, Sipho Ngwenya ect to name a few. ย The awards that were held at a fully packed event and held true to the mandate. Well done to all the nominees that released and contributed to the gospel music industry however the award can only be given to one but in heaven there is a reward for all of us. The 2018 INGOMA nominees have already been announced,the INGOMA Awards will be held again later this year.
