It was amazing what Evengalist Angus Buchan who is also known as uncle Angus was able to achieve on Saturday. On the 22ndΒ April, Angus Buchan held the “It’s Time” National Day of Prayer in Bloemfontein, calling all peoples from all different parts of South Africa to come together in their day camp gear. Almost a million South Africans & believers fron neighbouring countries attended the prayer gathering held at the Wilde Al’s farm in Bloemfontein.
Buchanan is one of South Africa’s most influential Christian leaders. Many South African got introduced to him by his book called “Faith Like Potatoes” that was well received where he documented how God helped him in his ministry. The book was released in 1998 and was turned into a movie later called “Faith like Potatoes” that was released in 2006.
Angus said he was moved to organise the event after series of posts on social media about our country caught his attention. He pleaded with people on social media to attend and to call upon The Lord to bring justice, peace and hope to our beloved South Africa.
People began arriving at the farm from as early as 4am on Saturday at theΒ farm donated by owner former Springbok rugby player Ollie le Roux. He touched down in his private jet close by to the farm where the event was held.
Although Buchan was supposed to have delivered his sermon at midday, he couldnβt start as scheduled but had to wait for people who were still flocking to the prayer. The evangelist addressed the gathering after two hours. The event was a success & Angus thanked all those to come out to the prayer.
