Gospel Stars Lent Their Voice to Comfort Others in Reaction to Rapper AKA’s Death
South Africans woke up to the news that one of the countryโs most popular artist known as AKA was shot. Fellow gospel musician shared their shock at the breaking news. Kiernan โAKAโ Forbes tragically received gunshot wounds at close range in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal on the 10th of February 2023.
He was unfortunately fatally injured with his former manager Tebello Tibz Motsoane that night. Rapper Kiernan โAKAโ Forbes and Tebello Tibz Motsoane were shot dead on Durbanโs Florida road late on Friday evening. The funeral of both Kiernan โAKAโ Forbes and Tibz Motsoane will be held on the weekend but at separate private burial ceremonies.
The hashtags #RIPAKA, #akaworldwide, Kairo started making the rounds on social media. AKA was popular for his rap music, big personality, outspoken nature and big social media presence. Before his demise, he continued to make public declarations of his love for music, his family and his growing relationship with God as a Christian.
