Jessica Nkosi and Brian Temba Play Maria

Actress and TV presenter Jessica Nkosi and the mutli talented Brian Temba have joined  the cast of Maria. This gospel stage production called ” MARIA: THE GOSPEL MUSICAL” was recently launched at Carnival City during Crown Gospel Blestival for the first time. Zanele Mbokazi Nkambule’s daughter was also on stage sharing her talent with world as part of the cast. 

The story line is a powerful journey of Maria the mother of Jesus and her role in her Son’s life, Jesus.  Maria is setup as a great family show that gives women in the Bible a voice in the gospel. The story is told through music, scriptures, song and dance.

Zanele Mbokazi Nkambule has teamed up with Kcap who have worked with producers and actors such as Tyler Perry during the KwaMashu Film Festival. The Lion king producer Lebo M and the World Gospel PowerHouse have committed their skills and experience the production for their national and international tour.

 The production brings  Drama, poetry , African dance styles, African music styles including traditional hymns and creative stage costumes. Maria has a full cast of 35- 42 members , live gospel performances and uses a 8 piece band.
