Jumbo Wins Big Among the Stars at the SAMA28
South African Gospel musician Jumbo emerged as one of the winners at the SAMA28 edition of the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) 2022.
Among the many awards on the show, there were also three highly contested faith music categories. Jumbo, NUZ Voices of Joy and Pulane Maphari were announced as winners in the faith music categories on the 28th.

More About the #SAMA28s
The SAMAs were held at Sun City Resort over two days, the 28th and 29th of August. They are the biggest awards in the country as they cater across all genres of music in South Africa. On Saturday the 28th the awards were streamed live on the SAMAs YouTube Channel at 20:00 with hosts Comedians Mpho Pops and Robot Boi holding it down.
We also got to see our gospel artist shine on stage when 2022 SAMA nominees Puleng March and Ncebakazi Msomi performed.
Jumbo Responds after Winning a SAMA
Speaking on his latest win Jumbo took to his social media page to celebrate his SAMA award. He went on to thank the SAMA awards for recognizing his work, his supporters and also not forgetting to thank God.
First and foremost I would like to thank our Heavenly Father for aways showering me with His grace and blessing me in abundance.
I would also like to extend my gratitude to my manager Mxolisi Mhlongo, my colleagues, my supporters and Hloni Mokoena for always believing in my ministry

NUZ Voices of joy won another award following their Crown Gospel Music Awards win. The young gents from Durban won Best African Indigenous Faith Music Album at theΒ SAMAsΒ , Congratulations!
New recording artist Pulane Maphitha went on to win Best Contemporary Faith Album for her album titled Sacrificial worship.
