Meet Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule

Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule is most popular for her latest role as the founder of and executive producer of the SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards. Many others may know her for her soft spoken voice yet bubbly personality and welcoming smile. She has worked as a radio DJ for the biggest South African radio station Ukhozi FM and moved on to present the popular gospel TV show Gospel Gold on SABC 1. Lately she is dubbed “The midwife of Dreams” for her all round contribution to the Kingdom of God.
Zanele is a mother, a wife, a speaker, a published author, businesswoman and producer among the many hats she wears. This is one woman who leaves no dream behind, no stone unturned and is always willing to try new things in order to fulfil her God given purpose. I can only summaries when it comes to Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule as her profile could end up being a book as she has done so much already. We have seen her grow, rise , accused, fall and rising again with renewed strength in faith right before our eyes.
Zanele was born and bred in Durban, she completed her matric at St. Francis College in Marianhill. When the opportunity for her to continue to study further after matric opened up she took it to register at the former University of Natal now merged to form the University of KwaZulu Natal. She then obtained a BA Degree from the University of Natal, majoring in English and Politics. She continued and obtained a BA Honors degree in Media and Communications. She also added a PR Diploma from Damelin to her arsenal.
She a loving mother and wife to Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule of Word of Hope Ministries which was founded in Swaziland and has church branches in South Africa.
Zanele’s company called World Gospel Power house is the brains behind many initiatives. The initiatives are aimed to build the Kingdom of God such as Women to Woman conference for women empowerment, Uzibo conference for pastors and church leaders, Music Imbizo for upcoming and independent artist knowledge sharing workshop ect
Back in 1999 she started her own company, Mirror PR and Events β a company that specializes in Event Management, Communications, and PR and media strategies. She has conceptualized, managed a number of high profile local and international events through this company.
Zanele is also a founder and Patron of the Future Leaders Project which aimed to empower young people with knowledge and skills.
Her passion for the youth development has made her instrumental in the establishment of the Future Leaders Organization β a project aimed at molding the youth into responsible Future Leaders. This is a stand alone NGO with a full staff complement (6) and a youth Centre and Academy. The organization does training, annual conferences, career guidance, annual life skills book etc.
