Talent competitions Idols South Africa’s top 4 contestants Sithuthukile aka S’22kile, Berry, Karabo and Kevin took Idols to church with their performances. Sunday 7th November, the Idols top 4 contestants performed three songs each one of which was a duet with an South African Gospel Artist. Season 17 of Idols SA broadcasts nation wide on Sundays at 17:00 on Mzansi Magic on DSTV channel 161
Gospel artists Dumi Mkokstad, Lebo Sekgolela, Ayanda Ntanzi and Hlengiwe Mhlaba paired up with the Idols top 4 S’22kile, Berry, Karabo and Kevin for a heart warming performance. Berry held her own performing a Zulu song with Ayanda Ntanzi.
Gospel artist Dumi Mkokstad teamed up with Kevin to sing “Ukuhlala Kuwe”, Lebo Sekgolela was paired with Karabo for ” Halleluiah Mdumiseni”, Ayanda Ntanzi was performing with Berry and Hlengiwe Mhlaba paired up with S’22kile.
This is not the first time we see big gospel stars mentoring and sharing the stage with the Idols hopefuls. Last year gospel artists that were invited were Dr Tumi who sang “udumo ” with Mr Music, Rebecca Malope who sang with ZanoThando, Pastor Benjamin Dube who sang with Brandon and Ntokozo Mbambo who sang with Zama Khumalo.
