If you attend a charismatic church or Pentecostal church then you have heard the worship leaders say ‘ lift your hands’ to you a couple of times, right? And some get really aggressive when they are in spirit and trust me you don’t want to be caught with your hands down as depicted in the picture ( funny). I think it’s a blessing if you have worship leaders who are passionate about ushering people to worship God in spirit and in truth because some only wanna charm with their bauetiful voices.
One of my favourate verses that help lead to a place of worship is Psalm 103 verse 2 which says Praise the Lord, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits.
It is always easier to join in worship when you come from a place of gratitude & thanks giving. Like the worship leaders David also instructed his soul to worship the Lord urging himself not to forget about God. In Zulu it says “Mbonge uJehova mphefumulo wam, ungakhokhohlwa yimi sebenzi yakhe yomusa”. We serve a great God He is worthy to be praised. Amen.
